Craig has served on the Groveland Town Council for 20 years. He also currently serves on the Geneseo Central School Board as well as on the Genesee Valley Conservancy Board. He is a long time member, past president and board member of the Livingston County Farm Bureau and Livingston County Cornell Cooperative Extension. Craig was a recipient of the New York Farm Bureau “Outstanding Young Farmer” award in 1992 and Edgewood Farms was presented as the 1998 “Agriculture Honoree” by the Livingston County Chamber of Commerce.  On March 17, 2023 Edgewood Farms will receive the 2022 Livingston Farm Business of the Year award.
